The Search for Location icon allows you to toggle the Search window.
To facilitate the display of your parcel, you can zoom to the county in which the parcel is located, if you know that information. Select your county from the drop down menu available at the County Select tab. After you make your selection, the map will zoom in to the elected county.
Alternatively, you can select the County from the Select County icon located in the top banner. Clicking on a specific county will zoom to that county and change the Active County to your selection.
If the county information is not available, you can still search by parcel ID and later zoom to the parcel. Select the Parcel tab and enter the parcel ID. Keep in mind that the parcel ID format may change from county to county within the District. Follow the parcel example format shown in the Parcel tab to ensure that your search yields appropriate results. After clicking on the Search button, the map will zoom to the area where the parcel is located and the parcel will be highlighted with a bright green color. Hover over the parcel and the Flood Insurance Study will appear in a popup window.
To search for a parcel using the Township / Range / Section information, select the appropriate radio button for the location of the parcel (North Township or South Township). Then enter the township, range, and section information in the appropriate text boxes according to the examples provided and click on the Search button. The map will zoom to and highlight the parcel. Hovering over the parcel will display the Flood Insurance Study window that provides access to the Flood Risk Report, DFIRMs, and Flood Insurance Study for the county where the parcel is located.
To search for a parcel using the parcel’s address, click on the Address tab, enter the address following the example format provided and click on the Search button. The map will zoom to the parcel’s location, which will be identified with an intermittent red dot. Hover over the parcel to display the Flood Insurance Information window.
If you only have partial address information, you can still search for the parcel. In this case if there are multiple possible matches to your address search, they will appear in the results tab. A popup window will inform you that no exact match was found and redirect you to the results tab to see possible matches. Clicking on one of the possible matches will zoom to the area selected and display the Flood Insurance Study for that area.
